B.U.D.S. said fuel pump it is shorted. Also I found there was water in fuel.
Could it be that water in the fuel tank has caused the fuel pump to be shorted
and over night the water has been dried out of it. The pump now measures around 3 Ohms resistance.
Connected fuel pump to battery with a 10 amp fuse. Did not blow fuse and pump spins.
What should the resistance be? How much amperage should it draw? Of course the no load amperage should be less than when it is pumping fuel.
I will ultimately replace the pump but for now I want to determine if there are any other problems.
